What does the URL checker do?
It reads a link the same way the downloader does, but shows what it found instead of download buttons: the post type, the creator, every quality with its size, or the exact reason it fails.
Does it download anything?
No. It only reads information about the post. Nothing is saved to your device.
Can it open private videos?
No. It tells you the video is private, which is the answer. Privacy settings cannot be bypassed by any tool.
Why would I check a link instead of downloading?
To confirm a link still works before sharing it, to see whether HD exists before saving, or to find out why a download failed.
Does it work with short links?
Yes. vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com links are opened first, then checked.
Does it work with Douyin?
Yes. douyin.com and v.douyin.com links are checked the same way.
Does TikTok see my IP address?
No. The check is made by our server, not your browser, so TikTok only sees our server.
Why does a working link fail later?
The creator may delete it or make it private, and TikTok file links expire after a few hours. A check shows the state right now.
